Creating a trailer

Hey guys,

Hows it going I just wanted to let my fellow Daz fans know. I have new trailer that I going to upload  on Aug,1,2017. For my web series "The Launch Gate" It's going to made using daz3d so hope you guys can have a look, and if you like it maybe....subscribe...maybe...please.

But anyway it took me a while to make the first two episodes because as we all know I-ray is very slow. And I these are like 5-6 min episode so any words of encouragement from my fellow dazzers will go a long way. I will upload here on the day.

But here a few clips to give you an Idea of what it will look like.

  • Dude, if you use a compositing program to throw a little extra sexy sauce on this (dust hits, color treatment, lens flares, vignettes, etc.) you could have something that looks pretty damn sick here. yes

Thanks I agree but time is a issue. Not to mention that would use more CPU power, memory and G card power. And my poor old pc is already being pushed to the max. just to keep the renders at current levels. But i do plan on getting a new pc some time next year. So maybe be Ep 6 i could throw that extra stuff in.
  • You've put a lot of work into this and it looks good, well done!

I wonder whether you've bought all the characters and other assets you're going to need?  If so, it might be worth putting Iclone on your wishlist.  The program has become a good deal more 'heavyweight' since I started with it at versions 4 and 5 (it's now at 7).  But it was always great for the speed at which scenes can be built up, cameras moved, animations added and real-time previews checked out.

There is quite a cost involved, unfortunately, if you want to bring characters and animations back out from Iclone into other programs but without going that far, Iclone is great for quick pre-viz.  I understand you are on a tight budget so this is just a thought.  I haven't bought the latest version of Iclone yet but, if I ever seriously embarked on any of the ideas for animation that I have, I would have a difficult decision on whether to use Iclone or Carrara (which I favour at the moment apart from quick stuff).
