Genesis 3D can't download !! ???

Everytime i try to download Genesis, the Server reset it's connection error pops up, the last time i tried to download it, i got upto 143 MB (out of 429 MB) and then the same error again, it's now more/less a month that i'm trying to download this SW.now

My Connection is very slow, it gets to upto 100 KBps Max and ususally is around 15-20 kbps and i'm so tired of having so many failed downloads, i'm instead catching fast with Blender o.O

It was the same with Daz 3D, i got it after 16-20 download attempts, it was just 134 MB and i luckily got it that time and now it's the same with Genesis which is 3-4 times bigger than Daz.

Oh and yes, at the time of wiritng this, it failed again :(

    I go to my local public library, log onto DAZ3D.com from there on one of their computers and download files when I'm having these kinds of issues... but I do feel your pain :) I wouldn't be talking about alternate sites here or anything to do with illegal file sharing sites. Not a good idea.

    Thx, I know it isnt a good idea but whta could i possibly do when the software company's official website itself resets connection and i have to do it all over again just to get another failed download again, no matter how many times i do it.. :( i guess Blender is my friend now, so much for my 3D Mo-DOLL modification plans :(

    Anyway thx for the reply, i had thought this would be ignored completely.

    If yur download is failing every time you try it, there are a few things you could try.

    Delete your Browser cache, if you don't do that, you will just keep getting the same file over and over. This is a must for failed downloads.

    Try another Browser. There are plenty of them about.

    If your internet connection is flaky, then try and find a friend with a better connection, or as wancow says, use the public library

    I am sorry that you are having so many problems, but it sounds to me as if they are all at your end. Try what I suggested above. The Genesis Starter Essentials is a very large download, and if you have a poor internet connection, it will probably give you problems.

    Please note that DAZ 3D is the only place from which you can obtain a legal copy of DS 4.5 and the Genesis Starter Essentials.

    Daz 3D has a zero tolerance policy towards Warez.

    Another thing that may help you is to reset your router and / or modem if you are having problems with the downloads and clearing your cache has not helped.

    Also the DIM will help with downloading large files.

    Good idea chohole, I didn't even remember the DIM

    @web.khadka

    Download and install the DIM (DAZ Install Manager) from the site here. You cannot use it to download the program or program updates or plugins, but you CAN use it to download Genesis Starter Essentials. That would be a better plan than trying to download it yourself.

    By the way if your getting Sever resets at DL its not Daz Resetting. It is already in Send mode at the time you hit DL. Your reset is on your end as it swaps to Receive mode. The Slow connection is probably your issue. Try the tip Jimmy suggested. If the other Tips do not help you.

    Not that I know of, but the files are compressed so send much faster. And They will auto install as well. Please read up on the DIM before you use it. The default DIM folder is different from the standard install folder. You can change that yourself to any folder you like.
