Technique to create movement effect?

Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone could explain the technique to create a movement effect, like in the image attached? In Iray preferably.. ? Thanks everyone! K.

Iray doesn't support motion blur, at least in DS, unless I've missed its addition. I suspect that image has two renders, the actual product (shown straight) and the background (blurred in an image editor).

Thanks guys! I didn't think it was an option in Iray, but you never know... The motion blur for Iray looks cool though, I'll have to start saving!
