how to make own objects fitt like selling objects e.g. swoards ?
Hallo,
i have made an simple object for Genesis, Genesis should hold them in the right/left hand after loading the object(prop).
Not only when Genesis is in T Pose, although if he/she is posed in an other pose.
The weapons that can be buyed for Genesis do so. what to do that my own object is doing this?
Hope that someone can help, sorry for bad english ;)
thanks

Set up your prop so it is posed to the right place then Parent it to the proper hand of Genesis. Now select Just your Prop in the Scene Tab and save as a Pose Preset.
That Pose will load your item to the right Place and Parent it back to Genesis. You will still need to make a Hand pose to use on the Genesis figure as well. But that will fix your Item so it works as you want it too, the Pose Preset for the Item.
Since Genesis can become any shape and size 'Smart Props' aren't that smart or useful in my opinion. Just center the origin of the prop at the point the prop would be held and have load in 0,0,0 world coordinates.
The Question was how to get the item to load in the HAND when a item was loaded. Only smart propping can do that.
And what I am saying is that they almost never align properly to the hands. If the end user is going to have to adjust the translation and rotation anyways why bother. There is nothing more frustrating then trying to adjust rotation when the point of rotation is some far off place.
Thanks a lot,
My question was answered with the first post from Jaderail, and yes, i know that my prop is only fit right with the figure of Genesis i was created with, but is there a way to fix this Problem at this time?
I don't think so, and in store they are tons of stuff with the same "Problem?" . XYZ for Genesis V5, XYZ for Genesis M5, XYZ for Genesis A5 ... .
And in every description you can read something like "You can use for other Genesis figures, but you will have to Reposition or pose the Figure to fit..."
I have made this Object for my own use, don't want to share or sell it, so i can handle with this smal Limitation.
Thanks for the answers, both are right ;).
I think that would be an Feature request to the developers to find a solution to autofit/autofix the handposes to any object depend on the shape that were used.
Thanks and Greetings
