Maximal human character customizing what to buy?

Hi so I basically want to what I should use so that I can get as much flexibility as possible customizing my own characters like changing their shapes,facial features,ages,clothes and their hair and skin. I basically want to be able to make characters like you do in the Sims without spending a lot of money.

Which base figure are you using, or is that still open to decision?

It is open I will probably start with the basic male or female that is included in daz.

You'll need the face and body morphs.

There are three and a half bases - Genesis (which is unisex), Genesis 2 Female and Male, Gensis 3 Female and Male, and Genesis 8 Female. Curently Geensis 3 probably offrs the best mix of options and support, but a lot of the "core" tools seem to be coming out for Genesis 8 Female pretty quickly.

And if you want to save money on all this and play the most awesome dressup game ever.  (Daz is a dress up game on Meth, Crack, and Steroids!!!) And if you find you want to stand them in a pretty place and take a render....You need to join the Platinum Club for 3 months just to see the difference in buying while a club member. $1.99 items and a couple of times a year even those go on sale!!!  I budget about $20 to $25 per week and over 3 years, picking up free stuff and stuff on 50% 60% 70% off, I have more stuff than I can use in my lifetime. In fact the first thing you should buy is a Three month Platinum Club membership.  Then everything will be cheaper and you will get coupons for stuff.
