Help with content files

Aloha

I am a new ... very new ... user and I have some problems with custom files. Maybe this is a stupid question, but I am not able to figure it out by myself.

When I try to install some custom file (like a prop or a texture) I can't find it in my Daz 3D Studie.
I am quite sure that I have dropt the files in the right place (C:Users/Daz3D....) and they sit in the right folders (e.g. My Library data or People) but I can't access them when I am starting the Daz3D Studio.

Is there anything I did miss? Do I have to somehow "activate" the custom content or the "my library".
I have no problems with the content I bought ... therefore I assume that Daz 3D is basically running correctly.

Thank you very much in advance

P.S:: There is one more topic I cannot resolve: I can't change my screen name (which is kind of boring). If I try this via "Password and Username" in the Edit Profil I always get a "your password is incorrect" message ... what is weird as I have logged in with this password just a few minutes ago.

This is very easy to over look. Only content with a file called Metadata will show in the Smart Content Tab. All older and none Metadata content can only be found in the Content Library Tab. Most third party content does not come with Metadata so you will need to use both tabs to find all your content.

It will be found in this Menu Windows>Panes (Tabs)> you can add it to your interface any place you like.

You can't change your username at the moment.

Please send a PM to Richard Haseltine with the new username you want to use, and he may be able to fix it for you.
