getWSBoundingBox

When the viewport drawstyle is set to Wire or Solid Bounding Box
why does node->getWSBoundingBox() always return the node's frame 0 saved WSBoundingBox and not the node's current scene frame WSBoundingBox (i.e. it ignores current scene frame and unsaved Pos/Rot/Scale values).
Is there a reason or is that a bug?
