Search box in Content Library not working

I just typed several search terms into the search box in my Content Library, and nothing comes up in response. Typed in "book", got nothing. Then "Book", nothing.

I've also just tried "michael", "M4" "m4" "V4" "v4" "victoria" "Victoria" "Hair" "hair" one at a time in the search box. Nothing comes up in response. The search box in my Content Library seems very inconsistent. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Thank you very much for any assistance.

Do experienced DS users rely on the Content Library search box much?

If not, do they usually use "list"? Or "tree"? Or "side by side"? some other method?

List seems a lot easier than tree...

I use Content Library for Searches and I do not change my VIEW pref but the Search pref, I find that FILE works much better than DataBase. Even for just short things like V4 I will get a huge result.

Thank you Jaderail for your reply. I've attached an image to show how I understand what you are saying. Did I get you correctly?

Still, for some reason the search box doesn't work. Seems no matter what I type into the search box, nothing comes up. It worked for a while yesterday.

You need to check that your CMS is running. Search will only work when its running.

What is my CMS, and how do I check if it's running?

To check it is running Alt+Ctrl+Delete to open the Task Manager and under Services and/or Processes you should see a mention of in if it is running.

You can stop and Start CMS by go to the Start button (Windows 7 and Vista) > DAZ3D > DAZ Content Management Service > Start/Stop DAZ Content Management Service

There is a tonne of info about CMS on the forums many Stickied for your convenience.
