If you care to "sell" someone on Carrara...

A post in the Commons forum asks to be sold on Carrara.  All of the replies thus far except mine have had the purpose of dissuading the person.  My reply was tepid.  If you care to reply.

    As much as I'm frustrated by lack of support and use Carrara only as a source for other apps... at a sale price Carrara is a HUGE value, as a modeler and all sorts of wacky things (like the plant thing we were discussing, or hair, or baking procedural effects...)

    Because of the lack of support, I no longer feel comfortable evangelizng for Carrara.  However, at current super sale discount, C is worth it just for the included content.

    Thanks Diomede - for what I need Carrara renders much faster than Studio - I wouldnt be able to produce the large images that I need ....

    but

    Carrara is so much fun even if it isn't supported by the owners..
