Do I have to add billing information for free content?

I'm going to be honest, I'm not planning on buying anything for a while. I'd like to get some of the free content here but it puts it in my cart and asks me for my address, phone number, etc. If it's free I'm not really buying anything so I don't see why I'd have to put all this info in. Is there any way I can get this free content or get the download link or something without putting in all that information, or do I have put it all in to be able to get the free content?
