i created a custom character in DAZ 3 by using the morph dials with the V4 base. i've recently started using DAZ 4 and would like to save the character settings to use with Genesis. how do i save them as a custom character morph?

You can not use V4 Morphs on the Genesis Figure. You would need the FULL Gen X plugin to transfer the Morphs from your V4 Character to a new Morph Character preset for the genesis Figure. You would also need the V4 Shape Morph for Genesis before you could do this.

The Gen X plugin comes with a PDF tutorial. If it does not have the answers you need there are many threads in the commons on the Gen X plugin and how to use it. I do not have the Gen X plugin and can not help with it.

let me rephrase. how would i save it as a character morph to inject into V4 in DAZ 3, which i will later inject into Genesis with the plugins? right now i just want it as a V4 morph, i'll worry about Genesis later.

Save as>Character Preset. That will only save the BASE figure. Not the Clothing, Hair or items used.

To save as a Figure to Load again you can save as Scene or Scene Subset. Then the figure can be Merged into any other scene you create with a right click on the saved file icon.

I'm DS only that would call for more than I know, pz2's are a Poser format.
