confused on studio setup

I have attempted this program (without success) at least 8 times now because the opening screen doesn't look like the one in the beginner's tutorial and I can't figure out how to make it so. I am a slow learner, but persistant (have been trying with Poser for 2 yrs now), and will keep working at this if just for the challenge.

Problem: Opening screen "should" have the modeling window on the right with a grey bar on the right side containing tabs for Settings, Content Library, Parameters, and Scene. On the left side is a window showing the Content Library, as well as tabs for Shaping and Surface (Color).

What I have:
Two windows showing the modeling room, with a grey bar on the right containing only the tab for Scene. I understand how to change the viewports in the Window menu, and I can bring up a floating Smart Content window (with its own tab on the top).

How do I get the tabs into the 2 grey bars? Why does my opening screen not look like it should?

DS4.5 Pro in Win7. Work also with Silo and Poser 8.

That is the default Basic setup. Go to Window>Workspace>Styles and chose one that works better for you. To add a floating tab to the Grey bar you Grab the top of the tab and drag it to the bar. DS is 100% customizable.

You're too quick Jade. I type fast, but you said my 3 paragraphs in just a couple of lines. :-)

BTW, you can also save a new style once you have it all looking the way you want it, so that if it ever happens again, you can just select the setup you've saved. That way you don't have to go through the set up again.

Hmm. As said by a fellow Drow type. You trust this one, Miss B?

Thank you!! We'll see how far I get before the next question...

A fellow exile? If not then we might not have much in common. If so, welcome to the realms from another dark walker.
