Exporting posed and clothed figure and importing into 3ds max

I've tried so many different ways to export from Daz3d and import into 3ds max but all are failing me.
All I'm trying to do is simply export a basic figure, with a simple pose and some clothing.
1. OBJ will do it (I get the pose and posed clothing in 3ds max) but the surface of the model, while it looks perfect in the viewport, looks very strange in the render. Also, it has no textures.
2. Collada - I get the textures coming through into 3ds max, but there's a CRAZY warp thing where it's like the T-pose and the custom pose I made are melting into each other.
3. FBX - I get the posed figure, with textures but the clothes are T-posed and don't follow the pose of the figure.

What are your settings on FBX? Theer should be an option to merge the fitted items with the skeleton.
The merge option doesnt work to migrate clothing that matches the pose of a figure.
