Is it picture #3 ??? enjoyed looking at your art...Trish
Beautiful renders, I really like the island sunset one and the polar bears in the water. Look so real, like photographs...amazing!
I really can't tell. I'll guess it's #3, just because the lighting is different, and it looks like there might be a it more detail (could be real, or just my eyes). Great skin!
I just stumbled across this thread . Thanks Andrew for starting it. Your Octane ready products are definitely on my wish list.
I just got Octane and the DS plugin in November, so I'm still learning. The attached image was done for a contest in the Commons, it gave me a reason to play with glossy shaders/mats in Octane., and build a bit more complex scene.
How come I'm just now getting notifications for this thread??? :D
Anyways, in case you are still wondering it was pic2 (lighting is the same in all pics).
Not as good as the great renders here, but this is probably the best render I've done so far. No sss for the skin, just glossy. For the cloths I used glossy and increased roughness to get a velvet like effect. I just used one of the HDR that came with Octane for lighting.
I only just found this thread, awesome stuff

Here's my first animation using Daz3D and Octane Plugin. Running a i7-3770 with 32GB of Ram, SSD, and GTX780. Most frames rendered in 2 minutes at 1920x180 with 500 samples (you can see some fireflies). Background was designed in Octane Standalone and imported the alembic camera to match the scene, the reasoning was to generate a star field with the scatter files. These scene rendered out in about 15 seconds at 500 samples and then were composited in after effects. Most of the flares were done with Octane post process and then boosted with AE lens flare plug-in. Took about 3 months and a handful of hair. Can't wait to do another one.
Thanks for watching, feedback is always appreciated.
