I purchased a 3d robot model but it won't animate and just hops around
Hello everyone,
All right my artists I have a question for you all and hope it can be answered. So, I purchased a robot 3d model but when I drop in some animation using animate 2, it just hops around as if all the joints are locked. I am not sure how to make it work properly. Now, Daz 3D is new to me as I use After Effects a lot along with Element 3D a lot for 3D work. However, I use other 3D softwares as well to get what I need then export it into After Effects. Now, what I need to do is simply have the robot walk with a gun in its hand. That seems to work for other 3d models but not for this robot. Once I can create that then I will simply export it into OBJ sequences for Element 3D then create a 3D environment for the robot.
Please help my Daz 3D pros. I need your expertise on this matter. Thanks and of course I will continue to figure out as well.

The AniBlocks work on a particular hierarchy of bones - it's very likely that the robot doesn't use the same bones, let alone the same name for the bones, as the target figure so most of the information in the AniBlock will have no effect. You would probably need to pose the robot manually, using the bone paremeters and the Timeline pane.
