Urgent Pegasus 3.0 - flagged by virus protection

edited December 1969 in New Users

Has anyone who installed Pegasus gotten a virus warning? PC Tools quarantined it. I vaguely remember a similar problem with the old version so I unquarantined it to scan it (which then found nothing which was strange), thought maybe it was something that downloaded with it and would see if I loaded it, since there should be nothing wrong with it, but then Windows 8 smart screen filter blocked it. I assume DAZ3D wouldn't let a virus get uploaded, is it safe to run anyway?

AV apps have a bad habit of throwing up "False Positives" just recently, due to the fact that they seem to be consifering anything that has not been downloaded enough times as unfamiliar, and therefore suspicious. It is very annoying, At least the AV that I use gives ne the option of continuing with what I was doing and admits it is simply because it doesn't recognise the file.

Thanks, I figured it was okay, I was just curious if anyone has had the issue. At least I don't have Norton, I've had it delete files on me before without asking.
