Themed Art

So, I was wondering if I could inspire some art projects, and maybe doing so will help those just beginning, as well as those who have been at it for years. I had an idea that I could start a thread for people to post images they create that follow regularly changing themes. The first theme I wanted to go with is actually one inspired by my favorite anime, Sword Art Online. The theme is: "A Hero Stands Alone." If you'd like, try to create an image that fits this theme, and share it here!

Interesting idea, which I will be watching. I would point out that most "solo" heros generally have a side-kick or two, and maybe a love interest, including Kirito (SAO reference). Even the Lone Ranger had... Silver smiley. Having said that, here's a render from a little series I recently started at Rendo:

Edit: I suppose I better add some info: Jun for Lee 7, Mika 7 (as a fairy, hiding in the trees), Iray Worlds, Kochi Castle, and various sundry props and outfits, as well as a blend of two different fog tools.

Very nice, dragonfly, as usual! And you make a good point, there. Perhaps I should have clarified the meaning of my theme. As usual, however, all art is interpretation, so everyone please feel free to interpret the theme as you will. What I meant when I said "A hero stands alone," was simply the theme that is seen in many books, tv series, movies, even videogames: When there is a final conflict, our hero typically stands alone against a tide of evil.

Best wishes and I can't wait to see all that beautiful art!

Thanks, Phoenix. I, too hope other people post their images here. I'm guessing that most artists are busy madly buying new (and old) products with all the current sales. It's taking me hours at a time, just to sort my own purchases! Which means more variety in renders, when the sales slow down wink

    Regards. Frank.
