avi file editing

edited April 2013 in Art Studio

Is there any way to edit frames inside an avi file? Every time I "make movie" "uncompressed", I open the file in an editor like "windows live movie maker" and all I get is a single frame movie. I know I used to edit non 3D video before and I would see every frame and it would allow me to cut out portions etc. So I cannot figure out why it's only showing me a single movie frame now. The entire movie is there it's just one frame though. Please help.

I'm doing this from Poser by the way. Pro.

It's usually recommended that you render to an image sequence and assemble that into an animation file only once you are happy (and once the process has completed without crashing). That way you can, among other things, edit single frames.
