And then the materials room went away...

edited April 2013 in New Users

Hi all...

First of all, I want to say that these forums are amazing, and everyone has been very helpful. :) Now, on to the dumb question...

So I was in the Poser materials room... buttons were pressed... mistakes were made (I guess), and on going back, all of the materials options and windows and menus had disappeared. It now looks exactly like the pose room except that the menus are all floating. Closing and re-opening Poser doesn't do a thing.

OMG9854732q9845!!, I BROKE IT.

There has to be a simple solution... right, simple, that's it... RIGHT???

No idea but you might have better luck posting this in the Poser Section of the forum.

Have you tried Edit / General Preferences from the top line and restoring Factory defaults in the Interface option on that tab in the drop down box.

    Hi...

To re-dock the floating menus, click on the tiny little square box in the upper right corner of the floating window, it's right next to the triangle shaped arrow, then select docked...

For any missing menus, select Window on the menu bar and just select any menus that you need to replace... if your Materials Palette is missing , select Window > Room Tools > Material > Material Palette to restore it to your screen...

To arrange the different menus(palettes) how you want them on the screen, just move the mouse pointer around to the top of the palette you want to move... when it changes to a hand, left-click hold and then drag to the area you want it to dock... the screen will high-light to show you how the palette will dock in a given area...

Now this is in Poser 9 or PoserPro 2012... I don't recall if it's the same in earlier versions, as I don't have any of those currently installed to check... but I tend to remember it is... or maybe not... can't recall... %-P

    Hope this helps... :)

    It worked! Yay!

I KNEW that one of the incredibly smart people here had to know the answer. ;)
