Is it possible to install DIM on the d drive?

edited December 1969 in New Users

I read the install help sticky and searched the forum. Could not find the answer if it's out there.

I installed the DIM, but it didn't give me the option to choose the drive to install to. So it installed to the C drive. My SSD. For this application, I do not need it on my SSD. After installing it, I do see that I can choose a different drive for the content. So I understand how to change that path.

But is it possible to install the Install Manager (DIM) to a drive other than the C drive?

No, nor is there an option to place the manifest files for installed content on a different drive. It is possible to get around this using a symbolic link or junction, and DAZ has been made aware of the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am happy to hear that they already know about this issue. Not critical right now for me. But in the future it will be nice to have that option. Thanks again.

Glad to hear it, 'cuz I don't use programs that won't let me choose the path.
