Today I was playing with the Pro FaceTrial. It seems easy enough to get the mocap file to DS because it will record right to a .pz2 file. I noticed, though, a lot of jitters in the facial animation. I know you export the mocap as a bvh. Do you get a jittery head and eyebrows?

You need to play with the adjustable filtering/smoothing sliders for the head and face in Pro Face to remove the jitter during capture.
I also found that good light on your face helps smooth the face capture (though its annoying to look in to a light =)
I am also finding that Keymate helps edit the motion quickly once its in DAZ Studio.

Pro Face records these values to the .pz2 file:
    1. Brow inner Up
    2. Brow Inner Down
    3. Brow Outer Up
    4. Brow Outer Down
I can't seem to get these Brow actions to act separately, but that may be a limitation of the kinect sensor or my knowledge.
    5. Lip Stretch
    6. Lip Kiss
    7. Lip Corners Up
    8.Lip Corners Down
    9. Upper Lip Up
    10. Upper Lip Down
    11. Jaw Open

I noticed that Brekel has been using Faceshift as tracking in his latest videos, but its $800 to $1500 per year, which makes Pro Face look better at its price with its workarounds. =)

    Has anyone tried Faceshift?

    Hopefully this helps.

I spent a few days with the Faceshift Demo. It won't work with Daz models. The only way you can get them into Faceshift is to bring them in as an fbx file, which is easy enough, however, I couldn't get into the face to match the blendshapes. It only lists the face and eyes and other parts that are not needed. When I went to the Faceshift Forum to ask the question, someone already had. Their answer was that they didn't know how either. All that work to setup the blendshapes for nothing! Then I got the full version trial of Pro Face.

Had fun with it today but was a bit disappointed with my first result which is why I thought to come and see what you did. I will try what you have suggested.

The brow issue you spoke of probably need to be fixed in a subtrack in Animate. That's what I would do.
