Noob question on content
Hello folks. So I've been playing around with the Genesis Starter content and began to see what else is available. Tons, I've discovered. I've also discovered that I'm now greatly confused. I saw Victoria V4, V4.2, V5. A4 and A5. Then I saw morphs for V4 and V4.2 and Genesis Evolution morphs. And I saw that some items only work with some combinations. So, my long rambling point is, what am I supposed to buy? Do artists really buy all the V's and the morphs? And what about morph's for the A's? And do items designed for the V's work the Genesis? Did Genesis replace the V's? Did I mention I'm greatly confused? So any thoughts would be appreciated. Thought pertaining to this post would be even better. :-)

The adult fourth generation content is all variations on the base Victoria 4 and Michael 4 - new morphs, and clothing and textures. The Genesis/fifth generatio stuff is all add-ons for Genesis, though if a character says it needs one of the other "figures" it probably does need the UV set that tells Genesis how to wrap the texture around itself - clothes and morphs, however, will usually work with just the base figure. Genesis can also use textures from the fourth geenration figures, and can convert clothing via AutoFit.
GREAT!! Thanks so much!! I was so confused. One more noob question, what is the 'UV set'? I know they're mapping info, but while file extension are they?
The UV sets are installed with the Figures, V4 M4 will only have there default you can not change. The Genesis will have a Drop down in the Surfaces Tab that will allow you to pick the proper UV for the texture you are using. The Genesis Shapes morphs for figures will install the UV's. Genesis comes with V4 M4 and K4 Uv sets built in.
