noob can't load content

Hope I am posting this in the right spot, hope it is not too stupid.

I can't seem to load any of the content I have downloaded (clothing) onto my figure. I have no trouble finding it in my content library, but when I double click it nothing happens. Right click and select load, nothing happens.

What am I missing? do I have to convert the file or something?

What product is it, and where did you find it in the Content Library?

If it's an outifit for Victoria 4 or another pre-Genesis figure, you'll probably need to look in Poser Content for the clothing itself. If there are icons in DAZ Studio Formats, they may be just materials for the clothing items. Don't know if that's what is going on here, but it's something that has tripped up many people.

If possible, can you post a screenshot of your content library, including the items you're trying to load in? As Scott said, loading in the wrong items is a common stumbling block many newcomers to the software have so the more information you can provide, the better we can address your issue.

Thank you both for the help. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and now it works. Scott may have been right i may have been trying to load materials before loading the item. I am not sure, but it works now.
