Error Loading Presets | Poses | .duf w/animation

After creating an animation w/DAZ Studio 4.5.1.56 Pro (32-bit) on WinXP Pro SP3 (32-bit) and saving as a .duf in Presets | Poses, attempting to open it in a later session, I'm getting the following errors. I'd prefer not to have to re-create the animation since it took a while to develop it, so any tips to determine what the problem is and resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

    I just tried this on a Genesis figure. I created a simple animation, and I saved it as a Scene into my Scenes folder, and it opens correctly. I also saved it into my Poses folder, and it opened fine from there too.

    Did you save as a Scene or Scene Subset? If it was saved into a DS formats folder, it should be OK, no matter what sub-folder it was saved to I think. There are no errors given in the log file really, but what does confuse me slightly is the last part

    The only related log file I could find was:

    $HOMEPATH/Application Data/DAZ 3D/Studio4/log.txt

    If this is not the correct file, please let me know.

    I was able to get it to work by using the following steps:

    1. File | Open | Navigate to Scenes folder | Select scene which animation was based on
    2. File | Merge | Navigate to Presets/Poses folder | Select pose preset for the animation timeline

    UI reports the following dialog:
    Animation Range : Total Frames
    This preset contains information for frames beyond the length of your current timeline. Would you like to add frames to the timeline in order to import the entire file?

    I answered yes and the animation was successfully imported.

    I think what confused me was that it is a two-step process to load an animation, where I thought all I had to do was open the pose preset.

    If there is another way to do it, please let me know.

    Yes, that's the right log file - the contents just looked different so I wasn't sure.

    A pose preset should save animation, ready to be applied to the figure, but it doesn't save the figure itself.

    Well, I just upgraded to DAZ Studio 4.6.0.18 Pro (32-bit) on WinXP Pro SP3 (32-bit) and am now unable to merge the pose preset.

    I'm including an extract of the relevant section of the DAZ Studio log file, since I tried making it an attachment to this post as a .txt and .zip file, but I get the error: "The filetype you are attempting to upload is not allowed." and the content is too large for this post. I have omitted 117 additional WARNING messages of the following:

    WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5127): Could not find target property for formula: Genesis: .dsf

    Any tips or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Ok, I solved this again myself by rebooting Windows XP and starting another DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro session.

    There must have been some residual DAZ Studio 4.5 Pro references remaining after the upgrade which were causing the problem and were cleared after the reboot.

    For those upgrading to DAZ Studio 4.6 Pro, to avoid this problem, make sure you reboot your operating system before starting a working session.
