The content is the same. A Pro serial number unlocks all the Pro features, a standard serial number does not. If you "purchased" the free Pro version in the store you have a Pro serial number -- it will start SDZFPRO
So initially (in 2011 when DAZ Studio 4 first came out) there were three different levels of DS4: standard, advanced, and pro. Advanced had more features than standard, and pro had the advanced features plus even more. Since February 2012, the standard and advanced editions have basically been discontinued, and the pro version has been available for free. Technically it's still possible to run the standard edition...that's what happens if you don't supply a pro serial number...but the pro serial number is available for free if you order DAZ Studio Pro through the store (again, it's free).
DS4.5 is the most recent stable release of the DAZ Studio software, and DS4.6 is the most recent beta version. Both have all the pro features as long as you supply a DS4 Pro serial number.
However the size of the softwares is very weird... I mean, how could a PRO software be smaller than the other 2? It seems that some content is missing there.. or not?
Yes, sort of. In the recent versions, the content has been in a separate installer file (Genesis Starter Essentials). In earlier versions of DS4, a single installer file had the program and the content.
I edited my previous post to clarify that the current general release is DS4.6...just came out today.

The DS4.6 software is the same, the serial numbers unlock different features.
What you mean? a serial number got from 4.6 Pro free download does not carry the same DAZ 4 & 4 Advanced content????

Edit: oops, I hadn't noticed that a new stable release came out today, and it's DS4.6: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/22156/
Thx for the clarification. Helped a lot.

I see.. but I still couldn't see the advantages of 4.6 Pro ilo 4 Advanced...
Is there any or you're recommending it just to the fact that 4.0 & Advanced are discontinued?
Thanks again!
This article describes the advantages of DS4.0 Pro over DS4.0 Advanced: http://www.3dworldmag.com/2012/01/14/software-review-daz-studio-4-pro/
This page describes the main advantages of 4.5 (Pro) over 4.0 (Pro): http://www.daz3d.com/products/daz-studio/daz-studio-whats-new (scroll halfway down the page)
And the new features of 4.6 are described here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/22156/ (4.6 also contains all the features that were in DS4.0 Pro and DS4.5)
Thanks buddy & sorry for this bunch of questions hehe
Cheers!
