Hey my peoples! I had been using daz for some projects a while ago and I recently just had my first child and of course other things got put on hold so last night I was trying to do some things in daz but for some reason the program I bought (http://www.daz3d.com/michael-3-dynamic-pose-construction-set) for some reason doesn't work anymore. i've tried reinstalling it numerous times. When I try to add it to the runtime directory I get a message saying "the selected does not contrain a runtime subdirectory, would you like to continue anyways?" Even when I choose yes I get nothing. this is so strange because it used to work just fine for me...can anyone help me out?

What folder are you trying to install it into?

The old Content folder had a Runtime folder, and even the new My Library and My DAZ 3D Library folders also contin a runtime folder. You must install the content to the folder which 'holds' the Runtime folder, and not the Runtime folder itself.

Jimmy, I am simply right clicking Poser Format in my content library and clicking "Add runtime directory" and choosing the file. This is how I remember it working before but I guess not.

Congratulations on the birth of your child!

What exactly would you like to do: install the content into your existing Runtime, or add an additional Runtime to your Content Library? From what you've described it sounds like you are trying to do the latter, but let us know if that is not the case.

If you want to add a new directory in Poser Formats, the folder you choose should contain a folder called "Runtime." If you're trying to add a folder called "Runtime," you should instead be selecting the folder one level up. If you're trying to add a folder that is contained in a folder called "Runtime," then you need to select the folder two levels up.

That option is only for adding runtime directories that already exist, not for installing content.

You need to install the morphs into a proper Poser runtime folder, an existing one would be better, or do you have them installed already?

If you have these items installed, and they don;t show in the Content Library, you can add the folder the way you were doing, but it has to be the folder which 'holds' the runtime that is added, and NOT the runtime folder itself.

    EDIT:

XPost Scott, thanks for helping, and sorry williams.3386 I never even mentioned your baby, I'm very rude. Belated congratulations. I have had a few too you know, well, it was really my wife, but I get a few brownie points as well surely?

You do not ADD the file, you ADD the folder that holds the Files.
    Blah:Some Folder>Runtime
You pick the Runtime, it will then ADD that folder to your Poser Formats Directories.

    Congratulations by the way.
