OK here is the small station, a way to board, but not a grand terminal. I used the dip method to load passengers at stree level but I will have a version ( a stand alone platform) so it could be placed anywhere. Top of a building or whatever. So much to pack up and test, so back to work for me.

I'm now trying to figure out how this would integrate into a city. Most the time it would be over the streets. And one side of a street wouldn't have parking spots so the Dip could come in and out  with maybe the small station in front of an offset the building or a park.

    Nailed it!

  • Bradbury is that a Blade Runner reference?

  • AntManAntMan Posts: 2,051

A nod to Ray Bradbury Sci-Fi writter, but yes the Bradbury building was used in Blade Runner and they also had some nods.

Yay! The train is here... but chrome is giving me a 404 error!!! Why is there always a Yin to lives Yangs. There is nothing dirty about that statement that's all on you.

I got it, and I'm gonna have some fun! Thanks for making it.

Oh, if you ever get bored and need something to do ;), I'd really like new textures for Nomad, which is still a great model.

Hi, this looks very nice indeed! A question, the product page says

    • Optimized for Iray
    • Daz Studio 3Delight Material Presets for Lights (.DUF)

Not sure what this means, are there 3DL mats included or just Area light presets for emissives?

I don't have a designated use for this, but the interior sold it to me, because I can use the interior for all sorts of things (I believe).

Just picked this up.  What is the best way to get the various track pieces to align?  The Align tab sort of works but not great.  A snap to feature would be nice.

Sven, The set renders very well with the delight engine despite being designed as Iray textures. The lights of course do not work between the two render engines, so I made presets for everywhere a light was being used so anyone doing 3Dl renders would not be at a disadvantage.

Oh good. I've had some adventures converting things to 3DL.

Awesome job! BTW the Bradbury Building is in L.A. and was used in many movies (a few of them were SciFi). I have visited it a few times and it is beautiful.

Well I had to be able to put a bunch of pesky people in it. You could scale it down and get away with it unless someone tries to board mid render. : )

What font did you use for the Brandbury logo on the car? And since I'm asking for the stenciled numbers and letters (although I can probably fake that)?

Still working on kitbashing station and conductor details, but otherwise I was able to put this image together. Its the first decent one I've gotten - I keep fighting with myself over what I'm trying to concentrate on, people or the train. Finally decided on the train for this one.

This looks like a really interesting item. I wanted it. Unfortunately, my bank account would not let me obtain it. I am watching it closely.
