[ask] Skin turn into Red

in New Users
Hello guys,
so i'm really new and still learning about Daz.
I have Genesis 8 Female character named ' Vivienne '. Then i tried it, but the skin turned into red like this. I tried Genesis 8 Female and it looks normal. Only when i double click from the ' vivienne characters', it appears red like that.
Also i tried to apply the skin from her skin material into that default Genesis 8 female character , the Genesis 8 Female character skin turn into red as well.
How to make the skin became normal ?
Thank you! :D

Hello Richard Haseltine,
Thank you kindly for the reply, and i apologize for uploading the preview without clothes.
I'm using Daz Studio Mac 4.10.0.123
It's appearead when i active on iray drawstyles , then i tried to render it , the skin looks normal ( not red like in this preview )
Thank you!
Ah, so the previous image was just the preview and not a render? (Sorry, I don't see red very well so I can't see the effect you are getting.) The preview, even the Iray preview depending on your options in Draw Settings, does not show everything that will have an effect on the final render so it can be unreliable.
Thank you Richard Haseltine for the reply. it's mean a lot because i found the solution in Draw Settings options as you mentioned . I tried to make the draw setting from 'Interactive' into 'Photoreal' and now it's showing properly , no more red!
Thank youu!!!
It's possible that your surface materials are set for a higher version of DS: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/69709/daz-studio-4-9-daz-original-figure-skin-material-optimization/p1
Do you have that problem with all characters, or just specific haracters? Also, if you have an Iray Legacy material setting in your character materials, apply that after you apply your skin, and see if that works.
Another option is colouring through lights. Do you have any lights that are red in the scene, i.e. mesh lights?
