World Origin problem

I was able to make a abstract image by moving the camera and pyramid below the world origin line, but if I left the camera and the pyramid on the world origin line half of my render would be black or look like this. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong to help me fix it?

Remove the ground plane. You may also want to switch off haze in the sky lab. The upper part seems to be in some haze.
