Something has gone terribly wrong with my Render settings!

I have a NVIDIA GTX 1080 card, and here are my other specs if you are interested - https://imgur.com/a/JhQFz
I'll get to the topic :
My renders are just not getting almost any samples. It takes me an hour to get like 140~ samples now, which is absolutely ridiculous.
I used to be do scenes like this - (1) https://imgur.com/a/SvpmE (which was a few months ago), and a few days ago, I even created something like this - https://imgur.com/a/Ach1J . The 2nd render did about 5000 samples in an hour, which was great! But somehow there is still some fireflies etc. BUT, that's not the problem. The problem is, after an hour of rendering, after changing countless settings etc, now I get renders like this :
Or even something simple like this, that took 10 minutes, only got 40~ samples after all that time and trust me, it would not suddenly increase there :
I am beyond ideas on what to do next. I even RESETED the progressive mode Render settings, tried turning on and off OptiX Acceleration etc, but absolutely no change.
I will thank you incredibly if you could give me some insight on what I need to do to fix this. If you need additional info, just let me now . As long as I can get back to that First image quality, then I'll be a happy man.

Make sure CPU isn't checked on the Advanced tab in Render Settings. That could slow your Iray renders considerably. My 1080TI works better with the Optix Prime Acceleration checked. YMMV.
Does this affect the older scenes? Loading one of those should give the original settings. Have you (or Windows Update) changed the driver version? Is this dsktop or laptop? 4GB in a 1080 seems odd for the former.

Maybe you answer the question to your initial thread? Did any of that help?
Also, can you please check the render log, what is it saying about the render? It should give you information about the render engine used, or if there is an error message.
In addition, you could use the tool that comes with your nVidea card to see if the card is actually rendering. And checking the Advamced tab of your render settings; in case your card is no longer recognized for whatever reason.
From your numbers, it looks like you are CPU-Rendering.
