why does a data folder appears on Desktop?

I updated to DS4.6 last week, and after using Maclean's Room Creator yesterday, I have a data folder suddenly appear on my desktop. Inside the folder is another folder named auto_adapted, and inside that are lots of folders for items I've used and they contain dsf files and morphs.

Why has it suddenly appeared and what do I do with it.

The items I used are stored on an external drive if that helps.

If you go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, is your Desktop listed as a DS-format content folder?

Just checked and yes it is.

That would do it -- when you autofit an item to Genesis it creates the Data files in auto_adapted.

So do I need that reference in the Content manager? Can I remove it?

I wasn't using Genesis at all.

I have the same folder in the data folder in My Library.

You could merge it with the one in My Library and remove the desktop from the list.
