    just a the-making-of-sneak-peek

a script with the help of the mcjCollider plugin pushed the straps against the foot

another script will force the straps to have a very precise and constant width

i'll also use the occasion to make the straps wider

and another existing script will build the inflated version of the straps

nice look forward to seeing these done, if smart props might even be able to repurpose them for the V4 girls....maybe?

unfortunately i dont have experience in smart-props

so they'll probably be very simple props, with a pose file to position Aiko3 in them

similar to 2 other pair of shoes on my site
    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts2/mcjaiko3sandals

i may add a morph or 2 if bending the foot joints causes poke-through
but i don't want to add the full complement of morphs or make new versions

because ... i want to get back to finishing the Aiko crop-top and bikini bottom
those two will be fit'able to Genesis i think

some progress in the shoe making department
the strap widths were corrected, also the straps are ''squarier'' unfortunately, just a bit too much what's the word ... sharp

with the little i know i have created smart props by simply parenting a prop like a shoe prop to the body part it needs to fit to position re-size whatever until it looks good then save it to the library. haven't done it in a while in P7 but in P4 the dialog box during the saving process asked if you wanted to make it a smart prop and you click yes and voila.
Next time you want to add the saved prop to a similar body prop in position for either the same figure or similar it Smart Props to the body part it was meant for.
Though for A3, these cool prop shoes might be able to be repositioned and re-sized to say A4 or V4 and Smart Prop saved to the library for easier re-application later.
Just an explanation and not something you need do for these...I was just thinking out loud. :(

thanks! now i know where to look. I have poser 7,

it could be useful because sometimes people have trouble installing the shoes even with the pose-file and instructions

latest state of the wedges ( gold plated ! ) the straps are pretty good,
i still have to improve the innersole and find a good-looking way of tying the straps under the innersoles and at the heels

hoping to have them out this weekend

Tucking the strap ends under the innersoles ... needs adjustments.

two more wedge shoes the-making-of pictures

tomorrow i'll correct the UV maps for really well behaved textures

and probably add a few morphs ( just the essential )

note that this is subDivided in daz studio 3 and rendered with Blender/Cycles (exported using mcjTeleblender )

spot-check of the heel assembly and UV

    the UVs do need treatment

    the UVs ...took hours !

there's 1 material per strap, the inner-sole, wedge and sole have 3 materials: top / bottom / sides, the heel piece has 2

for those who want to create lining, add stitching , add studs etc etc and of course prints

    ---

tomorrow i add the 1 oe 2 morphs and i publish them !

2 minute long video about the wedges, the bodycon and Amy

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwTr7BT2Tt0

it delays the delivery of the shoes but ... it makes me happy that i have 1 more video done in 2013

will the wedges be ready this evening ? this is what we'll see :)

well since i want to write and use a script to create the foot-bend morphs, the shoes will probably not be released today
( though if someone really really wants the static shoes that were used in the youtube video i could upload them )

before i get back to the bikini bottom and crop top for Aiko3

    probably non-morphing / non-bending props

i'll complete the 'wedges" i started building

( i wanted to improve on the scripts i wrote to tightly fit the bodycon dress and apply it to straps )

    here are the making-of images

1- the reference images - Brisa Material Girl - Sold at The Bay.

4 - started laying the 4 other straps

    5 - idem

these look nice. i like the style in the middle a lot too. a simple strap for the toes and possibly a strap over the top of the foot to hold it on leaving more of the feet exposed and still a slip-on.
i doubt wearing a wedge sandal like this will allow the foot to bend much anyway...would it?

the bend morph is shown below

from past experience constructing walk animations, some allowance for bending can make life easier

there will also be "twist morphs"

each one of the 5 straps has its own surface/material, so one could make them invisible and "patch it" with other straps

since i want to complete ( one could say "be done with" ) these shoes, they wont have the full set of morphs

and will be usable mostly with the default Aiko3/Aiko3LE body

Nice product and I can rig my own to work as smart props with other figures like...oh?....The Freak and Havoc or Fallen! LOL
Are thee for D/S or Poser?

they are poser props, i modeled them over a posed Aiko3-default-body foot,
    imported the obj in DS3,
    added a few bend/twist morphs using D-Forms,
then exported them as poser-props using "PP2 Exporter" by Duke533

really close to publishing the shoes !

i inverted the UV coordinates on the roght shoe

    fixed the material names

what's next ... making sure the materials are correct amd maybe include a material-preset ( poser poses don't have tiling? )

Casual, your scripts and animations are amazing!
I would like to know how it works in details, it seems that your scripts are time saving tools.
It took me many hours to make the cloth wrapping effect around the rings of the bikini I posted recently!
