Well, I hope he's not a member of the castrati. Male genitalia is not included? Is there at least a texture included? Or, could you perhaps suggest a texture from one of the other figures that would be a suitable meld? It's rumored that the castrati grew very large after the procedure, but I hope that's not the case for him.

I don't usually do nudes so for me, its not really an issue but I can understand that if one does a lot of nude renders it may be a bit disappointing. I would imagine he would be a spectacular nude if he came equipped with the right parts lol. But for iconic fantasy renders he is perfect.
Right. I understand the point of view. But I think that if an artist releases a product like this, there should be a comment suggesting that another model that could be bought has a texture that somewhat matches that of Ronen. Of course, I can make my own comparisons. But I don't think products should be released like this.
My goal of the character was for people needing a non-nude muscular character like IceDragon pointed out. This is my first character and I have been needing a Gen 8 male like this and decided to take it upon myself to create one. I don't have the knowledge or experience to assist you with completing the nude character as I don't know what products are available out there. That would also be a rather large financial investment to purchase them for testing purposes. I aplogize if this character doesn't fit your needs.
I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings. I felt irked because I couldn't understand why you would release a character this way. I guess if I do buy it, I can check around with the other chracters and textures I have and see if I can come up with a good mix.

I will say that its my understanding that sometimes, when building something that has extreme body types, some things are just not possible, or, they are far more difficult to achieve than with a normal character. I do know that Hershcel's characters are all top notch and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy anything from him. His attention to detail is outstanding, and I don't think you would be disappointed, especially if you are able to find something that witll match your needs. (I think there is an attachment for sale possible at Renderotica, that may fit your needs. I don't have it but I know several people use it across a wide range of characters so it might work for you) If not you still have 30 days to return it if it doesn't work out (the character, I don't know about the pieces and parts)
Well I am really looking forward to this release. I hope it does well and he makes more characters like this.
I really like the thighs. Too many characters have balloon thighs which I am not a fan of. Thighs can be very muscular and strong without having to gain excessive volume.
A tentative release date for Ronen is March 1st.
Great work. Just a question, why when you guys make a muscular male don't think a mesomorph shapes? Why are all look like endomorph shapes?
Well for me it was going for a similiar and classic look (in body shape) like Arnold and not making the bodyfat percenatge to low to give a more natural look (otherwise it looks like he's about to step on stage in a bodybuilding show). As for anyone else, you would have to ask them.
I personally prefer the endomorph shape. I think there are too many ectomorph and mesomorph characters out there already (Michael, Gianni, Darius etc.). The endo-mesomorph is my favorite. Having been a heavy-weight wrestler and football lineman I relate more easily to them. They seem more realistic while still being very powerful. Variety is good also but whenever I see a nice endo or endo-meso I snap them up quickly to add it to the gene-pool.

I like his shape personally. Looks fantastic and love his briefs too.
As far as his gens go you can make some with the skin of his chest which will likely be what I do at some point.

Two things:
1) Kinda looks like a super jacked James Purefoy = Instant purchase.
2) If you need a dong for him, just grab miepes from the other place. Script builds a nice matching texture with a few clicks.

miepes? What is that? and the other place? I've tried two other sites and searched for "miepes" but the search produces nothing. Yes, I would be interested in a product that would build a texture from a few clicks.

You can also find there a free tool to use with map transfer to let you make a base for the DAZ gens that will properly blend into the torso, that you can then edit your other textures into. It is called Genital Texture Helper.
I just can’t shop there personally too hardcore for me. So guess when March 1rst comes around I will have a new project to do.
OK, I see the Genital Texture Helper. It references M7 though, not the Genesis 8 characters. Also, I'm not sure if this will work on a Macintosh. But, I guess I can try it. Yet, this is what I was asking about with the Ronen character: could there not be a texture for the DAZ gens? I wasn't saying I wanted Hershel to create a new gens product, just a texture. Well, if I can't get it done, perhaps some kind person, such as Serene Night will achieve it and let me and others know, so that we might share it. Just used Serene Night as she (I think) indicated she probably will do make a genital texture.
They couldn't share it because it would use a derivative of a PA product.
As far as that Genital Helper freebie product if it is just a DAZ Script then it should work on both Windows & osX versions of DAZ Studio.
(In the tone of Penny from The Big Bang Theory): Really? It wouldn't be considered a freebie? What's the point of having a texture for the DAZ Gens for the character of Ronen, if you have not bought Ronen?
And, if the DAZ Script is so simple to use (I will try), then why doesn't Ronen's creator produce a texture to distribute with the character? There's still some days until March 1st. Couldn't a texture be ready by then?
Hey Inguire,
1. You cannot use another creator's work in your own porduct. You can add to an existing product (of another artist) but cannot use the same file (free or not).
2. The Script was created by an artist which is easy and straightforward for the customer to use, but is not easy to create. I also have no experience creating scripts. I believe the script(s) being refered to here blends the two textures (character and genitalia) together very well so it looks natural so it's designed to be used with any chracter.
3. I don't plan on inlcuding genitalia with my characters. It's just not something I plan on doing at this time. Also the product has already gone through the entire submission/review process so nothing can be changed this close to release.
Sorry, I've never watched the Big Bang Theory but yes, others can't given away their derivitive work of a PA's or DAZ Original product bought from DAZ Store. You'd have to follow the instructions yourself to create those textures..

First, G7 and G8 UVs are the same.
Second, yes, you wouldn't be able to share if you used part of the torso map to blend in the genitalia texture. This would just be for personal use. It might be the case that the PA would allow you to release it as a freebie since it uses a very, very tiny fraction of the original product textures only along the edges, but you would have to ask them.
If you wanted to redistribute without worries you would have to take time to match your own textures correctly at the seams, or make an LIE overlay to blend out over the hip area.
