My Modern Take on the Travel Poster
Hi Guys,
I thought I would share with you my creation. This is a modern take on the "retro travel posters" of the 20's and 30's that I wanted to start selling on Etsy. I just got back into 3D a month or so ago, and thought I was going to go the Poser 3D route, but after some online research and checking out these forums, I decided to give Daz a try. I'm still learning some things, but overall, I'm very impressed with the final output.
The people, surfer, lifeguard tower, seagull and beach are 3D models. The clouds and ocean are from stock photos. I had to do the final colorizing in Affinity Photo, but I think I could have achieved something very close to my final output, if I had some more time to play around with the Daz 3D lighting and render settings. All in all, I'm pretty impresed with Daz 3D.
Left is the original render (minus the clouds and ocean of course) and the right is the color adjusted. Let me know what you think!

haha... thanks! I've "dabbled" in 3D for a long time. SGI, Infini-D (who remembers this bad boy), Lightwave, and currently use Cheetah3D for modeling.
