Per the suggestion of one of my beta testers, I am experimenting with a "dry" material option as well (see below). I'll add this render to the original post.

Thanks to all for the helpful feedback so far. Even if you are not a beta tester, I still appreciate your feedback and will try to implement any helpful suggestions into the product, time permitting.

Dang, that looks good! I wish I had time to do give this a whirl. Sadly, I can't. The rest of this month and next are booked solid. :(  I could definitely use that when it comes out though. The pictures so far look very good.

I like the dry option you added. Couple that with your in-the-works fire and smoke and one could create a dramatic wild fire.

  • Thanks guys for your words of envouragment. I wasn't sure how well received this product would be, since I am so critical of my own work. Anyway, here is a new promo;

Will there be an option to move parts closer together, like one patch of clover and then a tight bundle of grass? What I see would be neat for close up renders as well, so that would be neat.

Anywas this looks really useful and I liek the promo exlpanation how to put that together.

If I understand your question correctly, you're wondering if the blades of grass can be grouped closer together? Since the patches are object files, the only way you would be able to accomplish this is by reducing the X and Z scale of the grass object, while keeping the Y scale constant. If you just want a denser amount of grass, however, you can easily do this by scattering the patches closer together.

    Hope that helps,

With the grass it should be easy, I was thinking of the clover which would get out of shape with reducing the XZ scale, but I guess I could double the groups of clover and twist a bit for a clover patch

It is probably too late for testing, but I will volunteer to do so and guarantee I will buy it later as well. :)

To judge by the attached renders I can safely say that if I was a cow, I'd want to munch it. Hope to see a product soon.

Thanks to everyone for your words of encouragment and support. Before I package this up and get it ready for submission, are there any last requests for anything?

    Looking forward to its release.

  • This is a great product. I would love to have it on my Daz package.

Daz should help independent developers in any way.

Request? I'll reiterate what everyone else is already saying and just requesting for this to be released already. Now, as to things I would like the set to have (or possible expansions down the line, being more realistic) I would like a system to add fallen leaves on top of the grass or flying seeds or petals--with the option to have them strewn over the grass. I doubt this will be feasible anytime soon, but, well, you are kinda known for working miracles already.

Really beautiful, I have needed something like this for a long time, but now I really need to update the graphics card.

    Hey everyone,

Just a heads up, I created a new "Coming Soon" post for this product here. Please use that thread for all future discussion.

Thanks again to all beta testers for your helpful insights and suggestions, which I incorporated into this product!
