Yes, they sell them.  And they sell morph packs to help you shape the characters.  There is a product to help you skin the G3F called skinbuilder.  Daz profits when you buy items from artists in the marketplace and the artist also profit.  There are a lot of things pre-built and ready to go for Daz Studio.  It may seem really expensive but Platinum Club Members get to buy the major stuff at a discount and get coupons to spend on Daz Orginal Items and artist items.  I am not a sculpter so I go for the prebuilt stuff.  Blender is free opensource modeling program.  Since you sculpt, you might try making your own items with Blender and when they are good enough, you could be a merchant and sell them to people like me who buy because they can't sculpt. There are tutorials on making morphs and such.  You take the model over to a program like Blender, modify it, send it back with a dial to apply it in daz by turning a dial.  Daz makes it easy to pose things for still art and gives you access to a ton of prebuilt content.  Programs like 3dcoat, Zbrush, and Blender allow you to sculpt items.  Animation is a whole topic I skipped because I make still images.

You don't have to buy expressions. You can move Genesis 8's facial bones and make your own expressions, if You want to. One way to do that is with the Power Pose tool.

As Barbult has said, there are morphs included with Genesis 2 Female that will allow you to create your own expressions, as well as some common complete facial expressions. You should look under the Posing tab or, alternatively, under the Parameters tab, rather than the Shaping tab.
