Problems with Dforce draping over floor

in New Users
Hello,
I want to drape clothes over the floor or objects and I did find a tutorial for it.
On some clothes it does work very well adding a dynamic Dforce surface and turning Start Bones From Memorized Pose to off.
But on some clothes the cloth either exploseds into a weird shape or it won't simulate at all. With the Hongyu Shirt V7 it says: "there is an error look in the log file" and there I find many lines like this:
2018-04-17 18:31:44.387 Spring(50345, 50349) of node "ShirtGen3" extended: rest length < collsion offset (0.0614405 < 0.20001)
but also this:
2018-04-17 18:31:44.388 Shortest spring had length: 0.001268052018-04-17 18:32:00.850 WARNING: ..\..\..\src\dzopenclkernelfactory.cpp(30): Open CL notify: CL_MEM_OBJECT_ALLOCATION_FAILURE error executing CL_COMMAND_NDRANGE_KERNEL on GeForce GTX 1080 TI (Device 0).2018-04-17 18:32:00.850 WARNING: ..\..\..\src\dzdynamicsengine.cpp(2294): ERROR: Memory Object Allocation Failure (-4)2018-04-17 18:32:01.241 Total Simulation Time: 1 minutes 34.23 seconds
What does this mean and why does it only work on some clothes?
After I get this error I can't simulate anymore even on things that worked before.

The rset length < collision offset means, as I understand it, that there are (connected) vertices that are closer together than the minimum separation allowed in the settings - which at best causes an explosion, and at worst just causes the simulation to fail. If it's not too far under you can try lowering the offset, but in some cases the vertices can by several orders of magnitude too close and I don't think anything other than reworking the mesh is going to be a fix.
