Carrara 8 Not Working on OSX

I purchased Carrara Pro for my Macintosh. I received version 8 which I never got to work. On version 8.5, I got it to work after receiving a temporary password. This stopped working after contacting Daz. I then went through the same process again, got a new password again and it temporarily got it to work again. This was temporary. Can someone let me know what is going on here. I just want to get Carrara working right. I'm using the newest version of OSX.

C8.5 is still in beta. The current beta serial number can be found in the first post on http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/20690/
The production build of Carrara (8.1 I believe) does not support the latest version of OS X. The beta version which is supposed to be released at the end of summer is supposed to work with the current OS X.
The serial numbers are generally updated for the beta a couple days before they expire. Keep an eye on the link CarltonMartin posted a few days leading up to the next expiration date.
And just so you know for next time you need it, that thread (the one with the SN) is stickied to the top of the Carrara Discussion forum. But soon we should see the official version hit the store shelves!
I’m running Carrara 8.1 Pro Build 153 (64 bit) on a new iMac with Mountain Lion (10.8.4). It works perfectly.

Did you have to do anything to it to get it to run?

No. Just basic installation.
I did encounter the same issue that this user did:

But after following these steps:

Everything works fine.
Why it works for me and not for others I can not explain.
