I need to make my moon glow

Apologies for the re-post. A while ago I asked in a thread how to make a moon. I got responses and I was able to do it. Recently I tried again and now I can't. I'm doing something wrong. I used a primitive sphere with a map of the moon. I render in Iray.

Pic 2: How it looks when I apply an emissive shader

Pic 3: How it looked when it worked last time.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I am going to assuem Iray, so check the Emmisves settings - you may need to copy the diffuse map into the emmisive colour map and set the base colpur to white.

I did what you suggested and I noticed that applying the emissive cancelled out the map in diffuse. So I put it back in there and made sure that both emissive and diffuse had the map and were set at white. I don't see any marked difference between my first picture and this new one though :(

EDIT: Well I guess there is a slight difference but not like the last one I put up. (not that it looks that great) But some "glow" would be nice.

Change the base colour of the emmisve map and turn up the strength of the emmisive?

The glow effect is from setting the bloom filter in render settings. You will have to experiment with the settings to get the desired effect.
