Proper Way to Install a figure

When first installing a figure like Victoria 8 what is the proper sequence?

Do you first install the Genisis 8 female and then install Victoria over her and then build up from there? The Genitalia obviously require a sequence as I have a oddly non~female, female model unless I do a convoluted install of Genesis 8 "Gens Mat" then Vic 8 Gens Mat" over it. Would I then load "Rebekah" over Vic 8?  I must be missing something again as the software has proven to be much more intuitive than myself time and time again.

It shouldn't matter, no files are being replaced in the process. It's not a bad idea to get into the habit of installing the bases first, in case it matters in future - it does, for example, matter when installing the Dynamic Clothing Control plug-in which must be added only after the main DS installation.

  • Thank you so much for that, it may seem like a little thing but when your trying to get your sea legs it really helps to find a little solid ground. I'll leave Dynamic Clothing alone for now but I can't promise I won't ask about it latter. For now everyone is naked!angry

One more question if I could Richard, why does Vic 8 have an single attachment for eyebrows under anatomy and a bunch of eyebrow and faces with eyebrow options under materials? Is the anatomy one special or singular in some way?

The one under Anatomy is the actual model, the others are material settings (either for the base plus the eyebrow or applying painted eyebrows to the base only). Load the model onto the figure from the entry under Anatomy, then apply the desired colour using one of the H. Materials presets under Materials.

  • Thank you again for taking the time to share your knowledge it is appreciated.
