Rendering has super bright light even though I have no lights and Autolamp is turned off.

In render settings I have Autolamp turned off and when I render with no lights it has this extremely bright light from the front/right side that turns some parts completely white from how bright it is. Additionally, when I add in extra lighting the canvas gets brighter but in render the brightness remains the same.

Iray? By default the RuinsHDR environment light is on, you can turn it off in Render Settings under environment by setting the Environment Mode to Scene Only - but since scene lights tend to be relatively dim you will then need to adjust the Tone Mapping settings to compensate (and your renders may take longer to converge).
(Also a newbie so maybe not very helpful). There are several sources of light. The lights in your scene are one, the Autolamp is another. And a third is the environment light. Go to Render > Editor tab and all the way at the bottom is "Environment"
Fist thing to check is the top: Environment Mode- you can have the dome on, ot just your studio lights or a combination. Next thing is Environment intensity. Try pulling that down and see if it helps.
