Super Confused

Wow, I’m so confused by how all this works I’m not even sure what to ask.

I’m a newbie using Poser Pro 11. I need to animate a Kids4 model I purchased. After a hour or so I was able to figure out how to drag some items into folders where they would show up in the Poser Library. Ridiculous procedure. I also purchased a Santa’s Helper outfit from Renderosity which was also complete pain to install and show in the Library.

The current problem I’m having is the hat that comes with the outfit will not fit correctly on the head. Someone mentioned it’s because it was designed to be used with hair. I can’t find any hair that came with the Kids4 model, although I don’t have a clue if I installed the Kids4 correctly in Poser.

I tried the Daz download manager app and was thoroughly confused as it immediately started downloading a dozen things I don’t want or need installed for the Daz app. So maybe someone could help me simply install the complete Kids4 model in Poser so everything that comes with it will show in the Poser library?

Many thanks,

Carl

Maybe you move your question over to the poser part of the forum? I think they are better able to help you...

DIM installs the products in a way DAZ studio can understand. Your best option would be to go into the DIM downloaded zip file, and then copy outout anything that is in the runtime folder, and paste it into your poser runtime folder. But I'm not entirely sure, so again, maybe you check out the Poser section where the specialists reside? smiley  https://www.daz3d.com/forums/categories/poser-discussion

DIM will install poser content perfectly well for Poser, you just need tot ell it where your Poser content is or to add the My Daz 3D Library folder to Poser as an external Runtime (click the folder with a + icon in the library pane, then use the browser to select the /Public Documents/My Daz 3D Library folder).
