    I will explain further

DAZ studio is not like a game engine where you see stuff in realtime, you place your characters and props in it then when you press render it raytraces it bouncing light off surfaces creating shadows etc and maps it out on an image as seen from the angle of your viewport like film in a camera

To explain further once you get the scene all set up, go to the top left of DS and find the render tab. Hit render and it will hopefully start to create an image (you might have to stop and adjust things like the lighting many times). Once you stop it or it is finished, then you can save that image to the folder of your choice.

If you want to share your artwork, render it out as mentioned above. If you want to take a screenshot then the normal screenshot tool supplied by your operating system does the job.

I'm using windows and I press the Print key on my keyboard to capture the screenshot and Ctrl+V in the image editor to paste then I save the image.

You could also switch the Render Settings to render with Basic OpenGL it captures and renders exactly what you see in the Viewport preview in no time with a resolution of your choice.

    Why?

Why not use the snipping tool?

Confused by your post, I looked it up and have never heard of the snipping tool till now and that it is part of windows. I have been using the print key method for years myself

You can also hold down the Windows key while you press PrtScn, and it'll automatically save it to your Pictures\Screenshots folder.

Note, though, that "Basic OpenGL" is limited to the hardware capabilities of your graphics card (or on-board graphics adapter on the motherboard, if you don't have a separate graphics card). This is an extremely cut-down version of the features available in a 3Delight or Iray render — lights and material textures won't look as good, shadows will be less realistic, etc.

Where can I find the OpenGL setting? I'm super-new to this and need to know step-by-step, where to go.
