Can anybody tell me if there is a way to flatten a texture(skin) of a character so that I can adjust color&seams; all together? I have Lithunwrap 1.3(freeware) which flattens but no color. Can it be done in Carrara?

Lithunwrap is for designing the UV coordinates and you should be able to export the results as an image file. Load it into Photoshop or your editor of choice and create your texture using the poly lines as a guide. A texture is nothing more than the flat image map placed on the figure. The UV coordinates created by Lithunwrap are what tells your computer how to put that texture on. You'll need to export the final UV unwrapped model once you're done.

you can select all the surfaces in Carrara and have them active using 3D paint
use copys, do not overwrite your textures!
then use color picker and a fuzzy brush
another way is to use texture atlas in Daz studio then work with that image
