I'm assuming this is the product in question: http://www.daz3d.com/old-west-mercantile

That error would indicate those are just DS mat files for the building (not all Poser mats translate well, so DS mats are included in a lot of products). The product looks like it comes with CR2 files, so you'd find those in Poser Formats > library you installed to > Figures.

Check your downloads and see if this product has 2 different installers associated with it. It's possible that it has one full Poser installer and one just for DS mats. If you use DIM, but not Poser, you may need to edit your DIM download filters to show Poser downloads as it may be missing the DS flag.

I have this item too, and there is a mistake in the DIM downloader ZIP.

What I had to do, was download the manual install (Ps), and drop the contents of the 'Content' folder into the Library. Now it appears in Poser Formats.

I just posted a bug report on it here : https://bugs.daz3d.com/view.php?id=50727

I am sure it will be fixed soon.

I filed a bug report about another product that had this same problem, The Reading Room. While exchanging messages with the support person, I pointed out this product also had the same problem.

The response I got was that I should tell DIM I had the Poser application. DIM will then offer to download and install all the poser installers for all my products. I need to find the Poser installers for only the products with this problem, check them and let DIM install them. Then I can unselect Poser as an application.

I told the support person with was a good workaround, but the DIM packaging of these products should be fixed. The final response I got was she would pass that information along, but made no commitment to fix the products.

Yes, Customer Support can't do anything on that front except pass it along. I've actually been putting "DAZ3DIM Bug Report" in the title so they know I'm not looking for a workaround for myself, but for it to be passed to the DAZ3DIM team to be fixed.

  • Somehow they got unfixed, because I just came across the same problem.  Had to turn on the Poser tags on DIM in order to get the mercantile.  Glad this thread was still around.

So now it's not fixed? And was The Reading Room ever fixed?
