I was so inspired by the work my fellow PAs did on the Orc Morph created by Josh and the clothing/gear by Bad Kitteh that I created a environment he could stomp around in. 8 props stack up to create on environment and can be easily used individually for closer shots or kit bashing. Set comes in two seasons, Hell and Hell frozen over. Here are some pics while it runs throgh the testing over at DAZ.

Your killing me lol.
Actually I owe you one, PM me your email. OK that sounds creepy. It's not just let me know if you have a product in mind that you would like I'd be happy to provide you with a free download.
I pm'd you.
Tag you're it ; )
Here is some Kit bashing with the cave prop and large rocks props. This was fun to do.
You know I'm developing a weakness for your stuff, right? LOL
Laurie
I've had a weakness for his stuff since I started lol. Best viewed full size
Wow that's great!!! I love when an image tells a story and makes me wonder what's next!
Thanks! I'm still working on story telling but this popped in my head as soon as I saw this set
Here are some clay renders and another shot of snow.
Fantastic work, as usual!
Looks great. I have ideas, already.
Thanks!!!
With any luck it should be out next Wed. Fingers crossed I hate waiting.
Just saw the set landed early! I hope you enjoy this one, some really cool props that will come in handy for any Orc or creature render, and it comes with Hot and Cold versions!!!

This is a really great set! For the record, this set is quite large, I scaled my orc up quite a bit for my render, there are a ton of nooks and crannies in the set. Renders quickly though. I have several more renders planned with this set already although not sure when I will get to more personal art lol.
Thanks IDA
I did make it big for Orcs, so humans will need to dial it to your liking. It loads in a group so it's easy to do, one dial to rule them all. Big details look even better smaller but the opposite doesn't work so well.
I look forward to see what folks come up with so feel free to post your Art!!!
Bit of a survey, summer sales always slow down and this release was no exception to that rule. But to that end, I am curious if the price point was off or if it is a matter of bad timing. I'm always looking to find the best way to do what I do and feed back is always helpful.
Thanks

You can always PM me if you want.
Well, I would have bought it lol. I think its a combination of things. I know my buying has slowed way down mostly because a. I have a huge library now, although your items are among the items I tend to buy even if I don't actually NEED them right now. b. Its summer and I'm not home as much and am spending more money on things like camping etc. (even the forums have slowed to a crawl it seems!) c. The prices in the Daz store have gone up, not that its not justified, you guys deserve to make a living at what you do, just like the rest of us, but that does mean that maybe, instead of being able to buy three or four things, I can only buy one or two things.
IDA I think we may be the only ones left.... oh wait I see the mailman. Yes it's oddly quiet.
I would love to see the results of a survey about price point. What is the cut off point, or average check out total. We the P.A.s don't get analytics and they would help. I.E.. if folks say my limit is $20 and I want to have two things for that, Well even if one is a PC item at 1.99 that means an item at 19.95 breaks the weekly bank. It's easy to say "more for less" but it's not very instructive. Well I hope folks know we are listening like any serious business person would. But yes we are much less serious than most. ; )
I bought it right up :)
Right? Crickets abound lol. Let me give some serious thought to your last question on how I spend. It wouldn't hurt me to analyze my spending a bit either lol.
I do feel like I've been spending less, not entirely sure why specifically, though I do have a trip coming up. I got this though, I like the look of it, and the separate parts makes it even more useful.
A lot for me has to do with how often I will use an item.
For characters I wont pay more than 13.00 dollars. For poses 10 dollars. For environments it depends on how often I will use it and how large the textures are. I don’t buy sets with huge textures.
I have a monthly bank of $18 of which $6 should be DAZ Originals and $6 PC+ or PA and requires a spend of $18 to get the $6 off so really $12 spend but practically speaking it is using $12 - $20 except in months of stupendous sales or Pro Bundles I want, which is 4 Pro Bundles so far in Genesis 8. I buy just enough new Genesis X products to make the new Genesis X cycle workable. Having collected quite a bit already the next Genesis X cycle will have to be dynamics hair, cloth, fat, muscle, and animation spectaclar to have me buy a new Genesis cycle.
Whether I stay a member of the PC+ club past Jun 2019 is up in the air but unlikely without spectacular Genesis 9 improvements. Without PC+ membership I no longer have motive to budget $18 a month for DAZ 3D.
Hi,
I spend more time away from my indoor hobbies during the late Spring and Summer, so I spend a lot less. I don't think I'm alone in that type of spending behavior and perhaps lower sales could be attributed to the time of year...or at least in North America. With that being said, I totally missed your new release. I too have a large product library now and I will generally only buy sets, props, shaders and scripts/utilities. As for the price point, I think it is very reasonable especially for the number items that come wih the set. I personally won't exceed $20.00 for an item and will generally only buy something on sale.
On a side note, I will be purchasing this set in the near future but not this week. And please don't be discouraged, you make wonderful items and I buy most of them.
Trish
I hope I don't make folks upset talking about money, but this is good input. I am grateful always to become a bit smarter than I was yesterday.
Serene Night, Have you looked at the texture commpression in the advanced settings of Iray? It doesn't speed things up but is less drag on memory, and is bad for close ups of course.
What do you consider to be huge textures? Is it a specific size, like "4096x4096+" or by product, like "2048x2048 is too much for a single bottle"?
Good question. When I do lower res textures someone will attempt a close up and lets me know they are not happy. E-Arkham and I do more roughed up... well used sets. So procedural textures don't really work as well. If a wall is 2048x2048 it can only be viewed at a distance or it will be fuzzy. Chrome, if brand new, doesn't need maps at all.
I haven't been buying as much but when I have been it's been $40 carts a lot of the time. I want 3-4 ordinary products for that price, or 2 'deluxe' ones. As an example, I really wanted Lady Littlefox's new hair and outfit, but yeah, it came to about $40. While her dforce/specially dyeable hair hits my 'deluxe' marker the outfit made me uncertain, and I ended up deciding to wait until they were on backlist sale and instead picked up 7 products across Rarestone and Collective3d's catalogs. Spent almost exactly the same amount.
For a long time I was trying to resist new releases and only buy backlist but as my library has grown and my acquisitions have tapered off, I do buy new releases more. For nice sets/complicated outfits, $17 feels like a bargain. For complicated sets, I'll go as high as $23. For sets that I know are coming and fill a specific niche for me, I often TELL myself I'll spend upwards of $30 on them (think Faveral and Stonemason stuff) but about 50% of the time I talk myself out of it once it's released and put it on wishlist, where it has a smaller chance of being purchased.
I think your stuff is well-priced for me, but suffers (and I use that word hesitantly) from being niche. I still prioritize my buying by what I think I'll use repeatedly, that is, in some storytelling way. That Spider Bot Mech (and the other bots) has gone into my cart so many times, but everytime I pull them out again because I don't actually have an active project I'd use them in. (I did get the Bradbury though, because omg). I really love almost all of your stuff but it's your sets I'm more likely to buy someday. I adore your unusual architecture, and you're one of the few PAs that make me want to create stories so as to justify your particular stuff.
Thanks for the kind words. : )
Good info on shopping. I think a lot of people who shop here regularly probably wait for the back catalog sale. I mean you don't have to wait to long and if don't have an immediate need for something... it can wait I guess. Makes sense why new releases may not do great but over time earn their keep.
