How to delete Metadata of all products?

I'm sorting out my smart content libary and want to get rid of all the categories that are inside Wardrobe. But when I delete them and then reimport the metadata, the categories come back.
So how do I delete the metadata of all the clothes so they won't create categories anymore?

You mean store items? You can choose to hide vendor categorisations (which, since they are hidden rather than deleted, DS will know are meant to be hidden) - see the Content tab of Edit>Preferences. Note that they will still show in the mast list, Categories in the Content Library, so that you can still manage them.
I mean all of these marked in red
I deleted them but they show up again once I reimport the metadata. The show hidden vendors categories is set to off but they are still there.
Which pane is that?
Smart Content
Hmm, well that is not the behaviour I would expect from my (quote possibly flawed) understanding.
Yes I know that is the problem. But every once in a while I have to reimport the Metadata. Since I usually install content manually and I need to reimport it for people, hairs, shaders, etc.
Just to be clear, you are removing the existing categorisation inside DS - not deleting the metadata?
In the content libary I go to Categories - Wardrobe and right click delete which deletes the category wardrobe but then it comes back in the smart content after reimporting the metadata.
