Pixelation on highlights after rendering reflection in mirror

I am trying to render a scene that includes a mirror and the reflection.  The reflected image is pretty important in this scene, but all the spots in the reflection that have highlights, end up very pixelated with white pixels.  Does anyone have much experience with reflections and perhaps point me in a direction that will help reduce this effect??

    It's a guess, but the first thing I would try is on your Render Settings for Iray, turn on the caustic option. Technically this isn't exactly caustics, but it is reasonable that the caustic optimizer might help some.

    Thanks for pointing me this way.  I tried it and no real change, but I will do some research on this since I know little about it.  Maybe this can help me tweek it and get better if I know what it is and does.
