Can't get some new clothes to work - SOLVED

I bought on chance some clothing sets designed for V4. I have V5. Thought it maybe would work with some tweeking.

The problem is; I can see the thumbs in the Content Library, but when I double-click in them they don't appear on the figure (or anywhere else in the scene).

I expected them to at least show up somewhere (hopefully on the figure).

Am I doing something wrong or where my expectations wrong.

(One of the clothing sets is for Poser. I have installed them in Daz Studio as they should have been installed in Poser. I can see them as thumbs in the Content Library).

Is there anything I can do to make this work?

    What clothing are you using?

    If it was designed for V4, then the chances are that it is in Poser Format, and that is where you need to go to load it. Content Library > Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Figures.

    What you are probably doing, is trying to load a DAZ Studio material file for the clothing item, and since it is not already in the scene, nothing will happen.

    I'm glad I was able to help, it takes a while to get used to, but you are doing well.
