Move things around faster in iray preview mode

in New Users
I watched an older tutorial, I think it was made like a year ago. The creator was moving lights and things around way faster than I do in iray preview mode. I have a 1080ti and 16gb of ram so I think my hardware is not the issue.
Is there some setting to make things go faster in the iray preview mode?

It may have been Sickleyield, she has a beast of a computer.
I've found a way:
go to iray preview mode, draw settings pane and then there set response treashold to lowest and Manipulation Resolution to 1/32. Now it's almost like texture shaded mode for me.
I'm surprised no one has found these before.
If you read the article here: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/interface/panes/draw_settings/editor_page/nvidia_iray/drawing/start
Iray still has to fill in once you release the mouse button. Using the scale 1/32 just reduces the pixels rendered by 1/32 in the viewport, once you release your mouse your pc will still have to rescale the image, resample 32 times and fill in the finer details.
Multiple high-end gpu's (Cuda Core Counts), contribute to faster Iray renders whether in viewport or in render. If your screen space allows it would be better to leave your viewport on Texture and have the aux open with iray drawing enabled. In large scenes the latency of the viewport draw scale will be quite noticeable and will make the draw settings negligible.
